When Amy had first came for a trial session the first thing that popped into my mind was, “she looks familiar, but I just can’t figure out who she is.”  Immediately we both kicked off to a good start and we had some fun conversations until she brought up the fact that I looked familiar as well.  Little did we know we were in the same class while attending UCLA a while back. We never spoke nor had any other form of interaction.  After we were able to pin point which class we were in all we got afterwards were a lot of laughs.  Amy’s a bright girl and that’s what I remembered her as.  She was always in the front of the class so attentative and outspoken.  Though we never met prior to her trial session I would say this is one of the moments that brought us closer and more than just a vendor-client relationship.  I love getting to know my clients and Amy is just one of them.

Amy was looking for a very natural look that would still show up in the magnificent photos that Tauran Woo would be taking so we worked with her fiance at the time (and now fiance) to find something we all like.   Here are the results:

Amy’s Hair was a bit short so we decided that we would use some clip in extensions to give it more length and fullness! In the end we got just what we were looking for!  You wouldn’t even be able to tell that she was wearing extensions!

I must say that it is a rare occurrence, actually it was the first time r ever, that a bride booked me for their wedding without coming for a consultation or even meeting for the first time.  On January 31, 2009 I did a wedding for a bride that just came from Las Vegas, NV.  A busy bride with no hair or makeup artist called me 5 days before her wedding.  She was so busy that she wasn’t able to send not even one photo of hair and makeup inspiration for me. This definitely got my palms sweating and my head hurting!  It’s always frightening to do impromptu makeup and hairstyling on the day of the wedding, even with all the experience and weddings that I haev done!

Despite everything, I am pleased to know that she had faith and trust in me to make her gorgeous on her wedding day.  In the end she achieved the look that she wanted and her hair turned out to be just what she was looking for.  Needless to say, we pulled if off.  A natural look with a high up do with a gorgeous headband from David’s Bridal and a very long train to top it off.  She was absolutely magnificent in her simple white dress!

Bride from this past weekend. She is absolutely gorgeous and I love her bright green eyes. She opted for a more natural look and I definitely approve! With the intensity of her eyes she is a natural beauty!

Elizabeth is a simple girl with a simple wedding.  She came in for a bridal trial session for makeup only as she is having her specialized hairstylist of years to work her magic.  Immediately after Elizabeth’s arrival we got right to work.

Elizabeth isn’t the makeup type of girl and never ever wears makeup on a daily basis.  Instead of doing the natural neutrals that we often see on our brides, Elizabeth wanted something special on her special day. Purple! That was the answer to it all.  Something feminine yet very dramatic at the same time to bring out her eyes!
